RBI Annual Report: Central Bank's Balance Sheet Expands 11% In FY24

A provision of Rs 42,819.91 crore was made and transferred to contingency fund during the year.

The Reserve Bank of India's balance sheet for the financial year ending March 2024, grew 11.08% year-on-year to Rs 70.47 lakh crore.According to the central bank's annual report released on Thursday, the increase on the asset side was due to a rise in foreign investments, gold, and loans and advances.
