"We will be adding two hospitals -- one at Mumbai and another in Delhi. While the North Mumbai Hospital will be added in a couple of months, the Delhi hospital will be opened by 2017," Wockhardt Group chairman Habil Khorakiwala told PTI.
The company will be investing Rs 350 crore to open the Delhi Hospital, which will have a 350-bed multi speciality care facilities.
When asked about the funding for the hospital, Mr Khorakiwala said: "It would be through internal accruals."
On the North Mumbai hospital, Mr Khorakiwala said the company would manage it for next 30 years.
"Though both the hospitals would be multi speciality hospitals, focus would be on cardiac and critical care. There would be also adequate focus on brain, spine and joints care," Mr Khorakiwala added.
Speaking about the company's ongoing regulatory issues with the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA), Mr Khorakiwala said: "We are working on that and hope to resolve the issues shortly."
