Shah Rukh Khan Crushes Box-Office Records With Happy New Year
Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Happy New Year continues to add to its box-office success, with its net domestic box office collection totalling Rs 202 crore, according to a report from trade website Koimoi.com.
This makes Shah Rukh Khan's Happy New Year the second biggest Bollywood grosser of the year in domestic markets, according to Koimoi.com, below Kick's Rs 233 crore.
However, in terms of overall collection, Happy New Year is the biggest grosser so far this year, according to Koimoi.com's estimates.
Happy New Year's gross collection has totalled Rs 382 crore so far, including Rs 90 crore from overseas markets, says Koimoi.com. This makes Happy New Year fourth highest Bollywood grosser of all time, after Dhoom 3, Chennai Express and 3 Idiots.
Produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment and directed by Farah Khan, Happy New Year is a heist drama.
Released on October 24, Happy New Year also set new box-office records for first day as well as opening week collections.
Happy New Year also features Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Sonu Sood, and Vivaan Shah. (With Agency Inputs)
