Samhi Hotels Shareholder Trims Stake For Rs 193.40 Crore

A public shareholder of Samhi Hotels Ltd. sold 4.74% stake in the company for Rs 193.40 crore through an open market transaction on Friday.

GTI Capital Alpha Pvt. offloaded 1.03 crore shares at Rs 187.1 apiece, according to the block deal data on the BSE. As of March, the shareholder held 6.24% equity in the company.

Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore Pte. bought 30.92 lakh shares representing 1.4% stake, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund mopped up 21.38 lakh shares or 0.97% stake, while JM Financial Mutual Fund acquired 10.69 lakh shares or 0.48% stake at Rs 187.1 apiece. Abu Dhabi Investment Authority acquired 11.35 lakh shares, or 0.51% stake, in the hotel operator.

As of March, Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore Pte. and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority held 1.04% stake and 2.75% stake in the company, respectively.

Quest Investment Advisors Pvt., Subhkam Ventures (I) Pvt. are among the other buyers.

Shares of Samhi Hotels closed 1.22% higher at Rs 191.05 apiece on the BSE, as compared with a 0.27% fall in the benchmark Sensex.
