Patanjali Ayurved's Net Profit Rises 14% In FY21

Patanjali Ayurved Ltd.’s net profit rose in the pandemic-ravaged fiscal even as it maintained operating margin.
Net profit of the maker of Dant Kanti toothpaste rose 14% to Rs 485 crore in the FY21, according to its exchange filing.
Revenue increased 8% year-on-year to Rs 9,811 crore.
Its largest food and dairy products segment saw revenue decline 3.1% to 6,348 crore in FY21.
Sale of its ayurvedic products more than doubled to Rs 850 crore.
Home and personal care products sales rose 24.6% to Rs 2,475 crore.
Other goods sales rose 65.6% to Rs 111 crore.
Operating margin stood at 10.6% versus 10.8% in FY20.
BloombergQuint earlier reported that Patanjali’s toothpaste market share increased to 9.62% in the 12 months trailing April.
Patanjali Group’s consolidated revenue rose 13.4% to Rs 26,400 crore in FY21, the company recently told BloombergQuint.
