Noida gearing up for the second edition of Formula-1 race
With the much-awaited Formula I race scheduled to be held on October 30 in the city, the administration is leaving no stone unturned to make the second edition of the event much more successful than it was last year.
Noida chief executive officer Sanjiv Saran, during a review meeting on Tuesday, directed the officials to get the damaged roads repaired and dividers properly painted before the event.
Saran asked the public works department to erect fencing at Sector-82, Sector-37 and Mahamaya Flyover green belts so that the area was not encroached by land mafias and plantation too was not damaged.
The officials were also told to make provisions for crossing of the people through the belt.
Besides this, Saran also directed them to form teams and identify the illegal mining spots and check the activity by regularly conducting raids with the help of police.
The CEO also directed the UPPCL, BSNL and IGL officers to resolve the power, phone and PNG supply problems faced by the residents.
