Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg celebrated America's Independence Day in a unique way. On July 4, he posted a video on Instagram and Facebook showing off his surfing skills.

Instead of his usual t-shirt, the 40-year-old billionaire wore a tuxedo, complete with a bow tie and a golden chain, while surfing. He was also seen sipping a can of beer and waving the American flag. The video featured a picturesque mountain background, indicating he might be on a holiday. Some viewers speculated he was wearing Meta RayBan glasses, an innovation from his company.

In his Instagram post, Zuckerberg wrote, "Happy birthday, America!" The video has Bruce Springsteen's 'Born in the U.S.A' playing in the background.

Zuckerberg also mentioned, "Pure 8-month post-recovery surfing with a dry start right here," referring to his recovery after an ACL tear. The video gave a glimpse of his health post-surgery and quickly went viral. It garnered lakhs of likes and comments on Instagram.

Opinions on the video were mixed. Some praised Zuckerberg's cool vibe, while others ridiculed him. One Instagram user commented, "Recovery never looked better", while another joked about the cold water and how effortlessly Zuckerberg managed to stay standing on the surfboard. Another comment read, "Tech CEOs after announcing a round of layoffs on July 3rd." Some even speculated that the video might have been generated using artificial intelligence.

The video also spread to other social media platforms. On X, a user named Max Weinbach said, "Zuck won America day. King of white boy summer."

Another user, BuccoCapital Bloke, commented, "From the guy who destroyed Democracy to the flag-bearer of American industry and innovation in 8 years."

This unique celebration comes after Zuckerberg announced that Threads, a platform launched by Meta, now has over 175 million monthly active users worldwide. India has the highest number of active users on the platform. This announcement marks a year since the launch of Threads, which continues to grow as a place for people to share their thoughts and ideas.
