Inox Wind Stake Sale: Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, BNP Paribas Among Buyers

Promoter Inox Wind Energy offloaded a 5.6% stake in the company for Rs 828.19 crore.

Inox Wind Ltd. promoter Inox Wind Energy Ltd. offloaded a 5.6% stake in the company for Rs 828.19 crore through an open market transaction on Tuesday. It sold 5.5 crore shares at Rs 150.58 apiece on the NSE, according to bulk deal data.

The promoter held 38.43% stake in the company as of March 2024.

Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore Pte has mopped up 83.16 lakh shares, Okoworld Okovision Classic bought 35 lakh shares, and Goldman Sachs (Singapore) Pte purchased 26 lakh shares for Rs 150 apiece.

BNP Paribas Arbitrage acquired 16.5 lakh shares for 150 apiece.

The total number of shares of the company held by all stakeholders as of March was 32.59 crore. But, the company on May 24, 2024, issued bonus shares in the ratio of 3:1, which takes the total number of shares held to 97.78 crore.

Shares of Inox Wind closed 10% lower at Rs 147.65 apiece on the BSE, as compared with a 0.29% fall in the benchmark Sensex.
