Happy New Year Box Office: Day 1 Collection May Touch Rs 40 Cr

Shah Rukh Khan's Happy New Year is expected to garner Rs 40 crore on its very first day at the box office, koimoi.com reported.  The movie has opened to 95-100 per cent occupancy, it said.

Happy New Year released on Friday.

"The movie is definitely set to break and shatter records. If this kind of occupancy is maintained throughout the day, Happy New Year will surely create history with collections crossing 40 crores first day box office business," koimoi.com said.

The Happy New Year cast includes Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah. The film has been directed by Farah Khan.
