Tyre maker Ceat Ltd, an RPG group firm, today announced the appointment of Anant Goenka as the new Managing Director of the company for five years with effect from April 1, 2012.
Goenka, currently is the Deputy Managing Director of the company, Ceat said in a statement.
The company's incumbent Managing Director Paras K Chowdhary will be retiring from the role but continue to be a whole-time director, it added.
Commenting on the appointment RPG Enterprises Chairman Emeritus R P Goenka said: "Anant will add lot of value to the business due to his academic background and skills he acquired working with other group firms and international companies."
RPG Enterprises, established in 1979, has more than 15 companies with diverse business interests in the areas of tyre, infrastructure, IT and specialty.
