Battle of Cheap Airfares: Now, All-Inclusive Tickets at Just Rs 799
Budget carrier AirAsia India is offering all-inclusive fares starting as low as Rs 799 on select routes. Under AirAsia India's latest promotional offer, all-inclusive tickets for travel between Imphal and Guwahati are priced at Rs 799 - the lowest under this scheme.
Among some of the other routes covered under this scheme, AirAsia India has priced Kochi-Bengaluru, Bengaluru-Visakhapatnam and New Delhi-Visakhapatnam tickets at Rs 999. It is also offering an all-inclusive fare of Rs 1,099 on Goa-Bengaluru and Pune-Bengaluru routes.
Bookings for AirAsia's 'Big Sale' offer - applicable on travel between May 1, 2016 and February 5, 2017 - can be made till November 29, 2015.
Last week, rival airline GoAir rolled out three promotional offers, including one in which it priced tickets starting from Rs 691 (excluding taxes). Bookings under GoAir's 'Go Explore' scheme can be made till November 24, 2015.
GoAir also relaunched its 'Happy Tuesdays' offer, offering a 20 per cent discount on base fares of flights booked between November 24 and December 15, 2015 for travel on Tuesdays.
Many carriers have come up with promotional fares to tap the ongoing festive season demand.
Airlines have rolled out many promotional fares this year on the back of a sharp fall in oil prices. Domestic airlines in the first nine months of this year - January to September - have carried 590 lakh passengers - a year-on-year increase of 20 per cent.
