Bank Of Baroda Domestic Advances Rise 8.51% In June Quarter

Bank of Baroda's domestic advances rose 8.51% on a yearly basis to Rs 8.81 lakh crore in the April–June quarter. Global advances rose 8.14% in Q1.

Bank of Baroda's domestic advances rose 8.51% on a yearly basis to Rs 8.81 lakh crore in the April–June quarter, according to provisional figures released by the bank.

The bank's global advances rose 8.14% to Rs 10.71 lakh crore in the first quarter, in comparison to Rs 9.90 lakh crore in the same period last year, according to an exchange filing on Friday.

The bank reported an advance of 8.83% year-on-year in global deposits at Rs 13.05 lakh crore in the first quarter. The domestic deposits rose 5.25% year-on-year to Rs 11.05 lakh crore in the first quarter of this fiscal.

The domestic retail advances in the quarter rose 20.86% to Rs 2.22 lakh crore as against Rs 1.84 lakh crore in the same quarter in the previous fiscal.

The bank's global business in the first quarter rose 8.52% year-on-year to Rs 23.77 lakh crore.

The directors of Bank of Baroda, in a board meeting on Friday, approved raising close to Rs 7,500 crore by issuing debt securities.

Shares of Bank of Baroda closed 1.37% lower at Rs 273.85 per share, as compared to a 0.09% decline in the NSE Nifty 50.
