Bajaj Auto Teases World's First CNG Motorcycle 'Bruzer' Ahead Of Launch
This innovative move positions Bajaj as a pioneer in the global motorcycle market, with the world's first CNG-powered bike.
Bajaj Auto Ltd. has released a teaser video of its upcoming CNG motorcycle, the 'Bruzer,' ahead of its launch in India on July 5. The video offers a glimpse of the motorcycle's design, highlighting its simple aesthetics and dual-fuel capabilities that seamlessly switch between CNG and petrol options.
This innovative move positions Bajaj as a pioneer in the global motorcycle market, with the world's first CNG-powered bike. The motorcycle aims to revolutionise the industry by offering significant fuel cost savings, projected to cut expenses by up to 50%. Targeted primarily at consumers with a monthly income range of Rs 30,000-Rs 35,000, the Bruzer aims to appeal to economy-conscious riders seeking efficient and affordable transportation solutions. Registrations for bookings are already open on the company's official website.
During its 'Bajaj Beyond' event earlier this year, the company revealed that the Bruzer would be priced between Rs 80,000 and Rs 90,000, making it a competitive option in the entry-level motorcycle segment. Bajaj Auto is optimistic that this strategic launch will bolster its market share in the lower engine capacity segments, where it currently holds an average of 8-9% share.
The initiative comes amid fierce competition from Hero MotoCorp Ltd., the current market leader in the lower CC segments with models like the Splendor, which has been a top-selling motorcycle for several years. Bajaj's foray into the CNG motorcycle segment represents a bold step towards sustainability and cost-efficiency, aligning with growing consumer preferences for eco-friendly transportation solutions.
