Budget carrier GoAir has rolled out a promotional scheme, offering fares as low as Rs 601 (base fare and fuel surcharge only). Bookings for this GoAir offer are open till January 31, 2016.
The GoAir offer is applicable on travel till March 31, 2016. "Standard cancellation and rebooking policy applies" on this promotional scheme, GoAir said.
Many airlines have rolled out promotional offers to lure flyers, taking advantage of a fall in aviation fuel prices. The months of February and March are typically a lean season for airlines.
This GoAir offer comes in the wake of similar promotional schemes announced by SpiceJet and IndiGo.
Budget carrier SpiceJet had unveiled a promotional scheme offering tickets as low as Rs 826 (base fare) on domestic routes and Rs 3,026 (base fare) on international routes.
India's biggest carrier IndiGo had also launched a promotional scheme, announcing fares as low as Rs 1,063 (all-inclusive).
Lower airfares have spurred a big growth in air travel in India. Domestic airlines in 2015 carried 674 lakh passengers, a rise of 20.3 per cent from the previous year.
